Oranjestad- The St. Eustatius Tourism Development Foundation (STDF) in collaboration with Statistics Netherlands (CBS) will start a Visitor Exit-Survey on the island in the coming week. The questionnaire is a trial that will run for the period of one month and will be handled by the Visitor Services Officers of STDF, at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Airport (FDR) and is set to commence on Monday February, 13th 2017.
The objective of the Visitor Exit Survey is to obtain detailed information on visitors to the island. The results divided from the survey is expected to benefit STDF and all other affiliated partners and stakeholders, providing more insight regarding tourism. For example: tourist origin, spending behaviour and activities done. The information that is gathered with the Exit-Survey will be analysed by CBS and the results will be presented to STDF. After completing the pilot, STDF and CBS will evaluate and decide how to continue.
CBS and STDF say that collected data will be treated strictly confidential and will be used for statistical purposes.
