The use of fake currency is prohibited and punishable by law.
The Police department has received several complains on fake USD 100,- banknotes in circulation on Sint Eustatius. These banknotes have been used to pay at several stores and establishments.
The police recommends checking all currency accepted / used for authenticity, the currently circulating banknotes have a inscription that states: “ for motion picture use only”.
