St. Eustatius – A group of 18 RCN and Public Entity of St. Eustatius civil servants participated jointly in a two days Effective Writing training held by the RCN shared service training department held at the Public Library on September 17th and 18th. This is part of a pilot project whereby the RCN Shared Service Organization (SSO) training department will enter into future collaboration with the Public Entities of St. Eustatius and Saba for the training the two groups of civil servants on the islands.

This Effective Writing training comprised a good variety of writing products ranging from policy documents to annual reports. With this expanded palette, the training was tailor-made whereby participants were required to submit three assignments to the trainers which were used as training materials during the course. All documents were therefore kept strictly confidential.

The training department of the RCN’s Shared Services Organization will enter into future collaboration with the Public Entities, so that employees of public bodies can register on the islands and take part in the RCN training. Due to more demand for this course, in 2020 on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba more training will be provided at the Tertiary (MBO) as well as college and university level.
