Kralendijk – In just a few days the water cooled down enough to give the corals a chance to recover. During the monitoring dives conducted this week by STINAPA biologists and with the help of many volunteers, they noticed that while the bleaching was extreme, there was little to no mortality. A very encouraging finding, suggesting that the corals might survive this extreme bleaching event.
