Deputy Cecilia visits Punta Blanku Chicken Farm

Kralendijk – On Tuesday morning, deputy Edsel Cecilia paid a visit to the chicken farm of Win Emerenciana, Punta Blanku Chicken Farm.

The delegate’s visit, at the invitation of the Emerenciana family, was intended to provide an explanation of the automated system that was recently put into operation. It is an investment that was made on the initiative of the Emerenciana family itself.

Currently, the company has about 18,000 chickens that provide a daily production of 1400 dozen eggs. It is the only company on Bonaire that produces eggs and it is about fresh eggs of high quality.

One point that attracts a lot of attention is the fact that it concerns local investors who have been supplying fresh eggs to the local market for more than 40 years.

It could be established that the system that prepares the eggs to enter the market has all the hygiene regulations and complies with the applicable regulations.

The owners have had an extensive conversation with deputy Cecilia, where all points of attention were discussed.
