Health Commissioners BES Islands Visit Hospitals in Colombia

CALI, COLOMBIA – Commissioner Nina den Heyer, along with her colleagues Eviton Heyliger from Saba and Reuben Merkman from St. Eustatius and representatives of Zorg en Jeugd Caribisch Nederland (ZJCN), visited two hospitals in Cali, Colombia on Saturday.
During the visit, the delegation gained insight into the care conditions and facilities where patients from the Caribbean Netherlands receive treatment. Den Heyer expressed her appreciation for the professionalism and quality of care provided at the institutions.
The working visit will continue tomorrow in Medellín, where the delegation will inspect additional medical facilities. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services for patients from the region.
