MCB Debit Cards Remain Valid a Little Longer
KRALENDIJK – Contrary to earlier announcements by Maduro & Curiel’s Bank Bonaire, the current Maestro debit cards will remain valid for use a bit longer.
Initially, it was stated that the cards would no longer work as of January 1, 2025. However, this has now been delayed by at least one month. It should be noted, however, that the cards will have limited functionality during the remaining time.
Payments can only be made at MCB payment terminals, and the contactless option is no longer operational. Cash withdrawals with the old cards are also restricted to MCB’s ATMs.
Efforts
Although some customers initially did not receive the new debit card, bank staff made extra efforts in the final days of last year to assist as many clients as possible in obtaining their new cards. In some cases, a replacement card needs to be ordered, which becomes available after approximately 10 business days.
