Tourism Growth Bonaire Continues in January
KRALENDIJK – Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) reports an 11.8% increase in the number of stay-over visitors in January 2025, totaling 18,899 arrivals.
Dutch visitors once again formed the largest group (47.4%), followed by tourists from the United States (28.2%). Visitors from Curaçao (8.7%), Canada (5%), and Germany also contributed to the growth.
The majority of travelers came for holiday (53.6%), with diving being a key reason for 32% of the visitors. Hotels remained the most popular accommodation choice, with 48% of tourists opting for a hotel stay.
Age Group
Notably, the majority of both Dutch and American visitors fell within the 55 to 64-year-old age group. It has been observed for some time that Bonaire continues to attract a significant number of older tourists.
