KRALENDIJK – Bonaire International Airport has begun the expansion of parking lot P1, adding 28 additional parking spaces. The construction work is expected to last approximately two months and will temporarily cause some restrictions around the airport.
Contractor BWM is carrying out the work, both during the day and in the evening. The project is part of the broader optimisation and expansion of Flamingo Airport’s landside infrastructure.
Temporary closure and revised Kiss & Ride zone
During the construction period, parking lot P1, the current Kiss & Ride zone, and the through road will be partially closed or have limited access. A new Kiss & Ride zone will open near the car rental area as a temporary replacement.
Bonaire International Airport urges visitors to strictly follow the temporary signs and traffic instructions. Where necessary, traffic staff will actively direct traffic to ensure a smooth flow and maintain safety.
