ORANJESTAD, St. Eustatius – The Statia Port Authority has announced new measures for parking and cargo collection at the harbour warehouse, aimed at improving safety and reducing congestion.
Under the updated procedures, vehicles collecting cargo will be required to wait in line along the harbour fence and may only enter the warehouse area when called by an agent. Loading and unloading will take place strictly through this controlled waiting line.
Parking directly in front of the warehouse will no longer be permitted. Visitors are required to use designated parking areas and collect goods on foot.
Full enforcement
The new rules will take effect on April 20, 2026, with full enforcement scheduled from May 4, 2026. The Port Authority warned that failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or denial of service.
