Multidisciplinary Inspection at Bonaire Construction Company: Further Investigation into Findings
KRALENDIJK – On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, multidisciplinary inspections were conducted in the morning at two locations of a construction company on Bonaire, following suspicions of violations of laws and regulations related to the residence and employment of foreign nationals.
The inspections aimed to verify whether those present at the locations possessed the required documentation and to check compliance with other laws and regulations relevant to the various chain partners involved.
No direct violations were found during the inspections. However, indications were identified that require further investigation. The involved chain partners will conduct additional inquiries based on these findings.
The Labour Inspectorate, Caribbean Netherlands Police Force, Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, Immigration and Naturalization Service (Caribbean Netherlands), Directorate of Supervision & Enforcement OLB, and the Public Prosecutor’s Office BES participated in the operation, in collaboration with the Regional Information and Expertise Center Caribbean Netherlands (RIEC CN).
