KRALENDIJK – As of January 1, 2025, Bonaire residents with an illness or psychological condition can apply for personalized support services through the Lokèt Aksesibel at Sentro Akseso.

These services, such as home assistance, day programs, or medical aids, are designed for individuals living at home who cannot independently access general services. Previously, applications were processed through the BCO desk at ZW Group.

Not everyone is automatically eligible. First, the applicant’s social network is evaluated. If it cannot provide sufficient support or if there is no social network available, personalized support services may be considered.

Under the new system, applications are assessed against legal criteria by Sentro Akseso and Zorg en Jeugd Caribisch Nederland (ZJCN), providing greater clarity and certainty for applicants.
