Kralendijk- According to information from the Police Force Caribbean Netherlands (KPCN), a male Dutch tourist has been missing on Klein Bonaire since yesterday afternoon.

Other people present on the island on Saturday declared to have seen the man in question swimming and getting out of the water after that. He was however not seen any more after that point in time. The assumption is that the missing man went to take a walk, during which he lost his way.

KPCN around 5 PM received the notification that the man had gone missing.

A boat from a local hotel immediately started looking for the man, but did not manage locate him. A search by Stinapa employees, along with the police, did not yield any results either.

At dusk a Coast Guard helicopter was deployed to help looking for the missing man, but he was not found at nightfall. KPCN said that they would continue to look for the man today (Sunday).
