KRALENDIJK – Last Friday, January 17, Fundashon Alzheimer Bonaire hosted its annual “Masha Danki Party” to honor the volunteers who made a significant contribution in 2024. This cherished tradition took place in the Triton Hall at the Van der Valk Plaza Bonaire Resort.

This year, the foundation paid special tribute not only to volunteers who were actively involved throughout the year but also to those who made an extra effort during World Alzheimer’s Month in September. Volunteers who participated as actors in the play “Ta Brueria of Alzheimer” received particular praise for their dedication. The board emphasized that the successes of the past year would not have been possible without the invaluable support of all volunteers.

During the festive gathering, ten outstanding volunteers were awarded the newly introduced FAB pin, “Friends of FAB.” Additionally, they received a special gift from Chairman Evert L. Piar. Among those honored were Rocio Chaves Meza, Yelitza Josefina, Jessica Frans, Benaia Gijsbertha, Anais Sakoetoe, Gilberto Martis, and Reksel Engelhart. Unfortunately, Xiolimar Perez, Edith Britt, and Johnrick Anthony were unable to attend.

The board also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the other volunteers who were not present and shared its hope of relying on their support again in 2025.
