Kas di Kuido Implements Precautionary Measures Following Norovirus Detection
KRALENDIJK – Several residents of Kas di Kuido have fallen ill with vomiting and diarrhea. Two of them have been diagnosed with the Norovirus, a highly contagious virus that spreads through direct contact and contaminated surfaces.
Fundashon Mariadal is implementing additional precautionary measures to protect the health of residents, staff, and visitors. Visits remain allowed, but with extra guidelines. Visitors are strongly urged to wash their hands thoroughly upon entry and exit. Anyone experiencing gastrointestinal symptoms is advised to postpone their visit to prevent further spread. The virus can still be transmitted up to two days after recovery.
The Norovirus causes gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, fever, and stomach pain. It spreads rapidly through contact with infected individuals or surfaces. Fundashon Mariadal calls for extra vigilance and cooperation to minimize further infections.
