One person dead and another found injured in Statia home
Kralendijk- On Sunday June 25th around 1.00 AM the Dutch Caribbean Police Force (KPCN) on St. Eustatius received a call that two injured persons would be found in a dwelling.
On the scene Police discovered one deceased and one wounded person. The injured person was transported to the Queen Beatrix medical Centre for treatment. Police say they have now started an extensive investigation into what has occurred inside the house.
The official information by the Police contradicts earlier information on various news sites and social media forums which mentioned two lifeless bodies being found.
Needless to say, this type of news is very rare on St. Eustatius. There were a lot of shocked reactions this morning from inhabitants on Statia as well as various Statians living abroad.
KPCN states that at this moment they cannot give any further details.
