Statia to Host First-Ever International Netball Competition

ST. EUSTATIUS – From January 31 to February 2, 2025, Statia will make history by hosting its first international netball competition at the Earl Merkman Sports Facility.

The event, organized by SENA with support from the Statia Government, Eutel NV, the St. Eustatius Sports Facilities Foundation, A+ Sports Association, and A+ Academic and Professional Training Centre, will feature a thrilling test series between the national teams of St. Maarten and St. Eustatius.

Four international umpires from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, and St. Lucia will oversee the matches, ensuring a high standard of competition. Commissioner of Sports Rechelline Leerdam will officially open the tournament.
