Oranjestad Statia Waste Solutions (SWS) is contributing to the separation of waste at the source. According to SWS, the bins are specially labeled -as can be seen on the picture- with guidelines for users.

The separation of waste (at the source) is getting more and more common in various countries. The placement of the upgraded bins can be considered a positive development for the island.
