Oranjestad, St. Eustatius – On Tuesday June 22nd , traffic checks were held in the morning hours on the Sandy Road and the Van Tonningenweg on St. Eustatius. On the Sandy Road, warnings were issued to various drivers. Tax and insurance was in order with all vehicles. A single driver was in possession of a driver’s license, but could not show it on first demand. Finally she was able to show it at the police station. A total of 14 vehicles were checked. A total of 32 vehicles were checked on the Van Tonningenweg, with 7 drivers being ticketed for not having the valid documents in their possession.
