50th Qredits Micro-credit has been granted in Bonaire

Kralendijk- This week saw the approval of the 50th Micro Credit by Qredits Bonaire. The loan in question was granted to local entrepreneur Sjaika Gonzáles by the island-governor Edison Rijna. With this loan, Mrs Gonzáles can meet her growth ambitions for her company, ‘Twinkel Naschools Care and Homework Coaching.’

Qredits has been active in Bonaire since 2015: Starting and existing entrepreneurs can borrow up to $ 50,000, – credit for the start or growth of their business.

Qredits Bonaire aims to strengthen entrepreneurship in Bonaire by offering credits up to 50,000 dollars to (starting) entrepreneurs as well as coaching programs. In the meantime, 70 credit applications have been submitted to Qredits. Currently, more than 55 companies are funded with a Microcredit, and several applications are still being processed.

In addition to providing the actual credits, Qredits also offers support to entrepreneurs in writing a business plan. The 2017/2018 goals are to provide approximately 100 credits of 50,000 each, to assist more than 200 aspirant entrepreneurs in setting up their own business.

Recently Qredits has also started with the process of micro credits to entrepreneurs in St. Eustatius and as such, Qredits is gaining more and more ground on the island of Caribbean Netherlands.
