Hato, Curaçao- The expansion of Curaçao International Airport in Curaçao is slowly but surely taking form. After the recent expansion of the arrival area and the installation of additional luggage belts, now the airport has taken use of an additional seating area in the departure hall.
Contrary to the existing boarding area, the new space has windows at land side instead of air side. The departure hall -for some time now- had already become too small, especially during hours where various wide-body planes are departuring, mostly between 4 and 7 PM.
The expansion of the airport also includes a new air bridge, while Airport Management has also promised the expansion in food & beverage options, both land- and air side. A new expanded VIP Lounge is also planned.
