WILLEMSTAD – A technical issue with an aircraft from charter company Wamos Air caused significant delays and inconvenience for Corendon passengers who were scheduled to fly to the Netherlands on Sunday.

Corendon typically uses an Airbus A350, leased from the Spanish company World2Fly, for its flights to Curaçao and Bonaire. However, due to technical problems with the A350, flight CD958 had to be operated by a replacement aircraft from Wamos Air, another Spanish airline. Unfortunately, the replacement aircraft also experienced technical issues at Curaçao Airport, resulting in further delays.

The technical problems led to a situation where a significant number of passengers, even after the issues were resolved, chose not to board the aircraft.

Unfortunate Experience

Corendon Caribbean spokesperson Norman Serphos expressed regret that passengers did not receive the experience they had expected. He stated that Corendon, in collaboration with World2Fly, would conduct an investigation into the incident.
