Asset Recovery Team Confiscates Porche on Sint Maarten

Philipsburg- In relation to the so-called DOP investigation, the Asset Recovery Team on Sint Maarten has seized a Porsche Boxster on A.Th. Illidge Road on Friday, November 30th, 2018.
Suspect H.B.G.R. (34) is the owner of the vehicle. The suspect is accused of a number of criminal offences, including money laundering. The investigation revealed that the suspect had no legal income that could justify ownership of a Porsche Boxster.
The vehicle was confiscated, because crime should not pay. The DOP investigation is still being pursued. Proceeds of the Asset Recovery Team will benefit country Sint Maarten. Persons with information that may help efforts of the Asset Recovery Team can send an email to: [email protected].
