Kralendijk- The first meetings of the so-called Central Dialogue Bonaire have recently taken place on the island.
The Centraal Dialoog Bonaire (CD) was installed at the end of 2018 as a consultative body. This body consists of representatives from local Government, Union umbrella organization USIBO and employer organizations such as BBE, BONHATA, Bonaire Hospitality Group (BHG) and the Chamber of Commerce. Island Governor Rijna functions as chairman of the Dialogue
Centraal Dialoog Bonaire wants to develop support for a policy aimed at the development of Bonaire in a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable way.
The first meetings were held on January 31st and February 5th during which two declarations have been signed: the Declaration on the Administrative Agreement 2018-2022 and the Declaration on the use of the ‘wage margin’ as a result of the premium reduction for employers for 2019.
The next meeting of Centraal Dialoog Bonaire is scheduled for April 15th, 2019.
