The Cherry Tree Road project to continue and is now scheduled to complete March 2020

St. Eustatius – The execution of the road project Cherry Tree encountered delays which resulted in the intervention by the principal, which is the Public Entity of St. Eustatius. After several months of negotiations, the Public Entity of St. Eustatius has reached an agreement with the contractors of the Cherry Tree Road project to continue the project that is now scheduled to complete March 2020, since then, work activities on the Cherry Tree Road Project have since resumed.
The Executive Council will host a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday September 4th at the Mike van Putten Youth Center where the general public will be informed about plans to improve the road network, the prevention of further erosion at key points around the island and the priorities that were set in this regard. The meeting will further specifically address the Cherry Tree and Jeems Road projects and plans for the construction of other roads on St. Eustatius. The general public is invited to this Town Hall meeting that will be held on the abovementioned date from 6.30 pm until 8.00 pm.
