Recently a supply of new garbage bins arrived on Saba. In the coming weeks, the Public Works Department will make an inventory on the island and relocate existing bins or place new bins where needed. Thee same color system applies for the new bins: orange for recyclables (glass, plastic, tin cans and cardboard) and grey for residual waste. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management made the funding available for sturdy, durable, and wind-resistant garbage bins.
A new supply of orange recycling baskets for the collection of recyclables inside households also arrived. People who need a basket can call or email Ms. Roekje Simmons
Tel: 416 3219, Public Works office from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 1:30 to 3:00 pm; email: [email protected]
