It’s been a beautiful spring so far, so why not take advantage of the nice weather and come to Animal Shelter Bonaire to buy books, share snacks and drinks with friends and maybe find the perfect companion animal you’ve been looking for!

Animal Shelter Bonaire presents a Book Market and Adoption Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6. As always, there will be hundreds of books for only $1.00 each, organized by subject matter and language. Enjoy the ambience, meet your friends and neighbors, have a cold drink and load up your shopping bag with great books at a great price.

As a special event, during the Book Market the Shelter will also be having an Adoption Fair. You will be able to meet and mingle with all the Shelter residents and find that special companion animal you’ve been looking for. There will be special discounts on adoption fees for all puppies, kittens, dogs and cats. Shelter staff and volunteers will be there to serve as “guides” to help introduce you to the pet that fits your situation. You can choose your pet, complete the adoption process and make an appointment to pick up your new friend the following week at your convenience after he/she has been chipped and prepared for adoption. 

Don’t miss this event which will not only generate much needed funds for the Shelter but will hopefully also help place many of our residents in loving fur-ever homes. Mark the date: Sunday, May 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Kaminda Lagun 26.
