Traffic Check Lead to Seven Fines on St. Eustatius
ST. EUSTATIUS – On Friday, January 10, police conducted a traffic control on the island, stopping several vehicles for inspection. A total of 21 vehicles were checked, resulting in seven fines being issued for various infractions.
Fines were given for driving without paid road tax, driving without a seat belt, operating a vehicle without a license plate, and driving with defective lights. Other violations included driving with a child in hand behind the steering wheel, operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license, and failing to provide valid proof of insurance.
The KPCN has stated that similar checks will continue at various locations across the island to ensure road safety. Drivers are urged to have all required documents in order and to adhere to traffic rules to contribute to safer roads for all.

A spokesperson for KPCN emphasizes the importance of compliance, noting that such measures are in place to protect all road users.
