UPB Accuses Commissioner Abraham of Waging a Personal Battle Against Bonaire Holding Company

Kroon is highly critical of the attitude of Commissioner Clark Abraham, when it comes to the Government-owned entities managed by BHM

KRALENDIJK – UPB leader and former commissioner James Kroon has criticized Commissioner Clark Abraham’s stance toward government-owned companies under the Bonaire Holding Company (BHM).

“Abraham does not base his remarks on facts but on personal convictions,” said Kroon. The politician from the green party argued that Abraham’s claims that BHM-affiliated companies are underperforming are based on incorrect assumptions.

Kroon pointed out that successful government-owned companies, such as the Water and Energy Company Bonaire (WEB) N.V. and Flamingo Airport, were saved from bankruptcy by the Dutch government. He finds it particularly ironic that Abraham, who often opposes Dutch intervention, is now critical of the same companies that benefitted from Dutch support. Kroon further accuses Abraham of waging a personal battle against BHM.

Stick to the Facts

Kroon urges Abraham to allow BHM and its subsidiaries to carry out their work and calls for more consistency and a fact-based approach in his public statements.
