World Championship Sunfish Sailing to be Held on Bonaire
Kralendijk- In September of this year, the World Championship Sunfish Sailing will be held on Bonaire. The races will start on September 14 and will consist of 3 parts.
The Sunfish sailors, 72 in total, will be coming to Bonaire from all over the world. At this moment there are already registrations from America, Europe and even China. Naturally, the islands from the Caribbean Sea are also represented, such as Puerto Rico, Curaçao and Aruba.
The team of sailors from Bonaire will participate in all three parts of the championship and participants range from ‘junior’ to ‘senior’.
The base for the Championship is Plaza Beach Resort Bonaire. They offer a special accommodation arrangement for foreign sailors. The sailing boats of the participants will also be placed on their grounds.
