WILLEMSTAD/KRALENDIJK – On Saturday afternoon, shortly after 3:00 PM, Z Air’s first jet aircraft, an Embraer Regional Jet model 140, landed on the runway of Curaçao International Airport.
A large group of Z Air employees was present on the platform to welcome the new aircraft, which has a seating capacity of 44. This aircraft marks an important milestone for Z Air, as the Embraer aircraft can carry 44 passengers, making it the largest aircraft in Z Air’s fleet. Equally significant is the fact that the aircraft enables Z Air to reach more distant destinations.
Initially, the aircraft will be deployed on routes to Medellín and Sint Maarten. At a later stage, additional new destinations will be added. Soon, a second aircraft of this type will also be flown to Curaçao.
Satisfaction
René Winkel, CEO of Z Air, expressed great satisfaction with the arrival of the first aircraft. According to Winkel, a significant amount of work has been done behind the scenes in recent months to prepare for the introduction of this new aircraft type.
Meanwhile, the first group of pilots has already completed their training for this aircraft type.
