PHILIPSBURG – Winair will operate flights to Montserrat from February 11 to March 26, connecting St. Maarten, Antigua, and Montserrat. The service includes both direct flights between St. Maarten and Montserrat and routes via Antigua.
The initiative, announced on January 13, aims to improve accessibility during Montserrat’s peak travel period, particularly for the St. Patrick’s Festival from March 8–17. The flights will be carried out by Winair’s De Havilland ‘Twinotter’ aicraft.
Premier Reuben Meade described the arrangement as an interim measure to enhance airlift while the government explores long-term solutions for improving air and sea access to support the island’s economic growth.
