Miami – The Bonaire Culinary Team is bringing home no less than 10 medals today plus the title for Floris van Loo ‘Spirit of the Competition Award’.
During the closing award ceremony, Bonaire turned out to score far beyond expectations. Elise was the first to win gold with her Chocolate Cake. Rick then won bronze with his seafood creation. Dhanesh won gold with the beef competition and he won all over.
Elise also won a gold medal with pastry and became the overall winner of Chocolate. Junior chef Akira Cecilia won a silver medal after only 4 weeks of training and also bartender: “Papi” Kelvin Ventura won silver.
A gold medal went to Rhashindra Donge in the chef of the year competition and the entire team together won a silver medal.
