Kralendijk- During a naturalization ceremony which took place in the hall of Pasangrahan this morning, 11 residents have been awarded Dutch Citizenship.
This has given them formal Dutch nationality, including all rights and obligations such as active and passive electoral rights and a Dutch passport.
In his speech, Island Governor Edison Rijna stated that the group of persons Naturalize today has already been living on Bonaire for some time. They have made a positive contribution to the development of Bonaire. Rijna said he was therefore happy to be able to swear the newest Dutch citizens in as Dutch passport holders.
