Kralendijk- A group of 29 students left the island this evening with the purpose of continuing their studies in The Netherlands. In total 40 students from Bonaire will start with studies on an advanced level in various cities in Holland.
The students will be received and guided by TuranGoeloe, which has been selected by RCN to provide support to the students from Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.
According to Jefferson Coffie, from Student Financing BES, a lot of work proceeded the departure of the students today. “Most students leave today, but about 11 students have already traveled or will soon travel”, said Coffie.
The check-in hall at Flamingo Airport was packed this afternoon with the students, parents as well as with other family and friends saying goodbye to their loved ones.
