Kralendijk- DP Party leaders and former Commisioner, Clark Abraham questions the decision of the Executive Council in Bonaire to enlist the services of journalists/writers René Zwart and Harald Linkels for a temporary strengthening of the communications department of the Public Entity.
According to Abraham, the decision of the Executive Council threatens the functioning of the ‘free and independent’ press on the island. The Councilman goes as far as to accuse the government coalition of ‘subordination’.
The decision by the Executive Council is reason for Abraham to call for an extraordinary meeting of the Island Council to discuss the matter.
