Kralendijk – On 5 September 2019, a celebration will be held for the 30th anniversary of the Bonaire Museum. The Department of Culture, Art and Literature and the Bonaire Museum will organize the celebration.
The Bonaire Museum is a historical cultural museum in combination with a Bonairean archeology department. The Bonaire Museum will have an open day that is accessible to everyone from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and an official ceremony will be held from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.
This year all museums around the world have “Future of Tradition” as a theme. The SKAL – Museum Bonaire wants to create a community that is more aware, more alert and more concerned about our culture and museums.
The Bonaire Museum has a program for this on the 3rd and 4th of September 2019 with children from after school care consisting of an activity with questions and answers for groups 6, 7 and 8 in the room of the ABVO building. This activity will serve to make young people aware and motivated to make for the history and culture of Bonaire.
