Willemstad- Trinidad & Tobago based Caribbean Airlines (CAL) will start with direct flights between Curaçao and Port-of-Spain in Trinidad.

The flights to Curaçao will start on August 2nd and will be executed weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

Travelers will be able to take 1 free bag on their flights with Caribbean Airlines out of Curaçao.

The airline also announced an ‘special introductory fare’ of U$233 with all taxes included. There are certain special conditions which apply to the introductory fare. A glance at Caribbean Airlines website reveals that normal round trip fares cost considerably more than the introductory fare.

Booking for the new route can be done, among others, through the airline’s website: https://www.caribbean-airlines.com.

Former Minister of Economic Affairs, Steven Martina (Curaçao) was one of the driving forces behind the new route between Trinidad and Curaçao. The minster spoke to various stakeholders during his visit to Trinidad & Tobago and expressed the wish for Curaçao to receive flights from Caribbean Airlines.

This week Surinam Airways, which also offers flights between Curaçao and Port-of-Spain, communicated that they would be increasing their flights between Curaçao and the Trinidadian capital to 5 weekly returns.
