St. Eustatius – On Friday September 27th Dutch Minister of Defense, Ank Bijleveld, visited St. Eustatius.
During her brief visit the Defense Minister met with Government Commissioner, Marcolino Franco. She also met with members of the Dutch Caribbean Police Force (KPCN) and the Dutch Royal Constabulary (Royal Marechaussee). The purpose of her visit was to see first hand the developments on St. Eustatius as well as progress in the framework of various projects being carried out under the reconstruction of St. Eustatius. A visit was also paid to the St. Eustatius Emergency Operating Centre (SEOC).
