Kralendijk- EZ Air BV was one of the airline companies heard at last week’s hearing of Aeronáutica Civil in Colombia. The company is preparing for the execution of flights to neighboring Colombia.

According to EZ Air’s CEO, René Winkel, the hearing went well. “We had to provide general background information about our company and our plans for flights to Colombia”, according to Winkel. Winkel said that none of the companies present at the hearing had any objections against EZ Air’s plans.

Winkel said the positive result of the hearing doesn’t mean that the company will be able to immediately start with these flights. “This is one of the first steps in the process, and now we can continue with the other steps needed to actually start up operations”, said Winkel.

According to Winkel the airline is developing well. “Since the start of our flights between Bonaire and Curaçao on the 23rd of December 2018, we have added flights to Aruba and we are seeing the occupancy on all of our flights steadily growing. It now regularly happens that our flights are completely sold out”.

Winkel also said that the airline receives quite favorable feedback from passengers. “We get a lot of positive feedback on our on-time performance, the comfort of the Beechcraft 1900 planes, and on our luggage allowance of 23 kilos for the first bag”, according to the airline’s CEO.
