Kralendijk- A total of 14 residents this morning have received their Dutch Nationality in a naturalization ceremony which took place in the Pasangrahan.
Five people took the oath and nine people chose to make a solemn promise to Island Governor Edison Rijna. This has given them formal Dutch nationality, including all rights and obligations such as active and passive electoral rights and a Dutch passport
In his speech, governor Rijna stated that this group of naturalized persons has been living on Bonaire for some time. They have made a positive contribution to the development of Bonaire and will, from now on, be full fledged Dutch citizens.
