Kralendijk- On Friday August 24th, STINAPA Bonaire and Dive Friends Bonaire are joining forces to host an informative evening about coral spawning, in what they call “one of nature’s most magical events”.

The timing of coral spawning is tied to the lunar cycle in August, September and October. But even so, spawning of several coral species can be highly unpredictable. During the session, Marine biologist Caren Eckrich will explain all about the biology behind coral reproduction; and will highlight the do’s and don’ts of a coral spawning night dive.

The evening is open for everyone – from dive crew of the various dive centers to curious residents and visitors of Bonaire. attendees are invited to meet STINAPA and Dive Friends on Friday August 24th at 6pm at Courtyard Marriott (Room Piet A at the Front Desk building).
