Kralendijk – The motor vehicle tax (MRB) 2019 must be paid again soon. During the week of January 28, 2019, invoices for the tax will be sent to all taxpayers with a motor vehicle.

In accordance with article 9 of the ‘Motor Vehicle Tax Ordinance Bonaire 2011’, it is possible to pay motor vehicle tax in two equal installments. The first half of the attack expires 2 weeks after the date of the assessment, which in this case is January 31, 2019.

This means that the first installment must be paid before 15 February 2018. The second installment must be paid by 30 June 2019 at the latest. If the payment of the first half of the tax due on 15 February 2019 has not been paid, the full annual amount per entry of 1 March 2019 must be paid.

Payment reference

It is also possible to pay the motor vehicle tax for the before vehicle owners receive the assessment. The payment received is then deducted from the assessment. Payments can be via internet banking or via the counter function at the banks. Tax payers are requested to indicate the payment reference, which consists of one’s CRIB number / 0119 and plate number.
