National Ombudsman visits Bonaire, Statia & Saba

Starting this week, the National Ombudsman’s team will be visiting Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.

Three times a year, the researchers come to Bonaire, Saba and Statia to assist residents with their complaints about the Government. Consultation sessions are open to anyone who has a complaint. Whenever necessary, the researchers will also visit people at their homes to see if they can offer them assistance to solve their problems with the Government.

People who have complaints about, for example, the tax authorities, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the police, the Public Bodies or the National Office for the Caribbean Netherlands, may submit these to the National Ombudsman’s researchers, free of charge.

Consultation sessions

The times and places the consultation sessions take place on Bonaire, Saba and Statia, will be announced through infomercials on the radio and on the Facebook page Nationale ombudsman Caribisch Nederland. If a resident is unable to attend the consultation sessions, they may also submit their complaints through the website, through WhatsApp or over the phone.
