KRALENDIJK – The Nationale ombudsman will come to Bonaire from 8 to 12 March for consultation hours. In case of problems and/or complaints between citizens and the government, such as the police, the Public Prosecutor’s Office or the Public Entity, one can come to one of the consulting hours free of charge for questions or to file a complaint.
The schedule is as follows:
-Jong Bonaire – Tuesday, March 8 from 09.00 to 11.30 a.m.
-Cocari Rincon – Thursday, March 10 from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
-Sentro di bario Nort Salinja – Saturday, March 12 from 9.00 to 11.30 a.m.
Reason
For the time being the Nationale ombudsman is keeping a close eye on whether his recommendations are followed up. This was discussed with nearly 40 representatives of educational and government institutions, students and supervisors. The reason was the report “Headaches of Caribbean students” from 2020. In it were recommendations to make studying in the Netherlands easier for students from the Dutch Caribbean.
