New coat of arms for Bonairean Parliament

Artist Frans Booi (third from right), donated a new copy of Bonaire’s coat of arms to government.

Kralendijk- Bonaire’s coat of arms in the hall of the Island Council has been replaced by a new one. The hall needed a renovated coat of arms after the Pasangrahan was completely renovated. The government of Bonaire decided to approach Frans Booi, who designed the original coat of arms in 1986, with this request. Booi however decided to construct a completely new copy of the coat of arms and donate this to the government of the island. The new copy was unveiled last week in the island council hall a ceremony with the various dignitaries and artist Frans Booi.
