Nos ke Boneiru bek denied entrance to Poverty Summit venue

NKBB leades Finies and Bissessar were denied entrance by security to the venue of the Poverty Summit
Kralendijk- Protest group Nos ke Boneiru Bek (NKBB), who fights against the status of Bonaire as part of the Netherlands, has been carefully kept away from the poverty summit at the Courtyard-by-Marriott hotel.
Members of the group who tried to gain access to the grounds of the hotel were stopped by security. NKBB had called to protest the summit, which they titled “apartheid poverty summit”. It was only a handful of protesters who had gathered at the entrance of the hotel.
In the end two leaders of the NKBB, James Finies and Davika Bissessar, were however to able draw the attention of committee members Jeroen Recourt and Ruard Ganzevoort. Recourt (MP in the second Chamber) and senator Ruard Ganzevoort briefly spoke to Finies and Bissessar, who also handed over a letter explaining the protest group’s point of view.
