ORANJESTAD – The Emergency Operations Centre on Tuesday held a successful oil spill response exercise at the harbour, as part of a regional training program.

The exercise included maritime and emergency response officials from the Caribbean and the Netherlands, among them, the fire service, harbour patrol and the Dutch coast guard.

The relatively large scale exercise was successfully completed, leaving the island better prepared in case of any oil spills.
