Kralendijk- Users at the Flamingo Airport in Bonaire are still being confronted with a bothersome process when paying for use of the parking lot.

Although, according to the note put up by the airport, the problems with the machines to pay the parking fee were “temporary”, after many weeks users of the airport parking lots are still being confronted with an inconvenient situation where the machines only accept 1-dollar bills or loose coins.

Especially for passengers who make use of the so called long-term parking and have to pay 20 or 30 dollars to take out their car, this is an impossible situation.

Hato International Airport in Curaçao recently installed a new state-of-the art parking management system which has greatly improved the experience of users of the parking lots in front of the airport. Hato airport for many years had also been confronted with numerous complaints about the machines to pay for parking.

However, the situation in Bonaire as not improved as of yet and has -in fact- become more customer unfriendly than ever.

With modern day technology users would expect to be able to pay for the parking either by ATM-card or by credit card, but this has never been an option with the machines used by Flamingo Airport.
