Police on Statia have detained suspect in rape-investigation

Police have 1 person in custody on Statia, in relation to a suspected case of rape.
Oranjestad- The Public Prosecutor’s Office in a statement issued this afternoon says that a suspect is in custody after a complaint was filed at the Police Force Caribbean Netherlands (KPCN) in St. Eustatius for rape and indecent assault.
The case is under investigation by police officers of KPCN. The Prosecutor’s office has also informed that the suspect Z.P, born in the former Republic of Yugoslavia and 60 years of age, will be presented today before an investigative judge today. The case has been given the name “Luna”.
